Upperdog wins Norwegian Film Critic's Award

The Norwegian Film Critics’ Association has named Upperdog by director Sara Johnsen Best Norwegian Feature 2009. It is the 46th year the 100 member critics deliver their verdict on local production, and the second time it favours Johnsen, whose Kissed by Winter (Vinterkyss) won in 2006.

An Asle Vatn-Christian Fredrik Martin production for Friland Film, Upperdog opened last year’s Norwegian International Film Festival in Haugesund. Exceeding 110,000 domestic admissions as a Sandrew Metronome Norge release, it has toured 10 international festivals, returning with the Jury Grand Prix from the Nordic Film Festival in Rouen.
