Private Bom Scandinavia only
Only available in Scandinavia Fabian Bom is one of Sweden’s most loved film figures. Portrayed in five films, he is by far the kindest and most energetic soldier, dance teacher, customs officer and auctioneer ever featured in Swedish film.
The multi-talented Nils Poppe (1908–2000) wrote the screenplays and played Bom in all the films. Poppe, who has been compared to actors as diverse as Charlie Chaplin, Jaques Tati, Danny Kaye and Gene Kelley starred in over 50 films ranging from romantic musicals to Bergman’s The Seventh Seal. The Bom films are pure post-war comedy at its best.
