Let The Prisoners Go, For it´s Spring! Scandinavia only
This is that rare film – an exuberant comic farce set in, and all about, prison.
Based on a much-loved Swedish song, the film is an absurdist romp that tells the story of the innocent Frida to secure the release of Harald Hansson, a lovelorn convict, from the local prison. Supported by a full cast of driven eccentrics, Let the Prisoners Go, for it’s Spring! is a riotous but tender family comedy that gently pokes fun at the idea that anyone can be seriously reformed by prison.
