June Night
A shooting incident in a small town forces Kerstin Nordbäck to change her name to Nordan and move to Stockholm, where she moves in with three girls, takes a job at a pharmacy and tries to live down her past.
Her life in the city quickly becomes almost intolerably complicated, however, when the man she shot turns up, wanting her back; one of the girls with whom she lives has a young reporter boy friend who recognizes her; and she falls in love with a young doctor who is practically engaged to Åsa, a nurse who has befriended her and knows all about her questionable former life. All these problems are eventually resolved when Kerstin accepts what has been and she leaves on a romantic journey to find a new life together with the doctor, Stefan von Bremen.
