Four Shades of Brown
Making the most of the absurd and the comical, Swedish comedy group Killinggänget explores new dramatic territories and depths with its first feature film, Four Shades of Brown. The eagerly awaited debut by the makers of several successful comedy shows for television and stage, Four Shades of Brown tells four stories that all touch on life’s big turning points.
(Dalarna)
- A patriarchal trotting legend and local hot shot dies alone in his huge mansion. But he still controls the destiny of his three sons and latest female companion, even in the way he plans to take his farewell: an oriental funeral party with all his secret former lovers.
(Hotellet)
- A well-dressed and seemingly well-behaved man and his wife receive his parents as guests at their hyper-hip beach hotel. But the travelling-magician parents disturb the carefully planned pretty picture, especially since they arrive with mother’s new Danish “Latin lover”, who boasts a lot of chest hair.
(Skåne)
- An eager father tries to spice up his teenage son’s interest in school by taking him along to his workplace: a pet crematorium. It gets hotter than he may have planned.
(Göteborg)
- Four strangers sign up for a cooking course. But under the prying eyes of a pseudo-psychological instructor, the four find themselves discussing anything but cooking. The instructor gets them to reveal the secrets they have been trying to hide all their life.
