Tage Danielsson

He teamed up with his fellow comedian Hans Alfredson to form a joint production company Svenska Ord, in the early 1960s. They soon formed their own company – SVENSKA ORD (Swedish Words). In the early years of their collaboration they frequently co-wrote shows for radio and television before turning to feature films with much success.

Tage Danielsson was also a well-known and admired author who has written a number of books. He was an active participant in the ecology debate, Amnesty International and the Peace Movement. His last film, RONIA, THE ROBBER’S DAUGHTER, broke all broken all box office records for Swedish film in 1984 and was seen by every tenth Swede during the first five weeks.
