History

Since 1919, SF has produced well over 1200 feature films including some of the best of early Scandinavian cinema from directors Sjöström, Stiller, Sjöberg and Dreyer. Contemporary directors include the Academy Award winners Ingmar Bergman and Lasse Hallström, Academy Award nominee Colin Nutley, international award winning directors Jan Troell, Bo Widerberg and many new directors emerging on the international scene. Some of the acclaimed actors starring in SF features include Greta Garbo, Ingrid Bergman, Max von Sydow, Bibi Andersson, Harriet Andersson, Liv Ullmann, Erland Josephson, Lena Endre, Helena Bergström, Rolf Lassgård and many more.
